Refund Policy

Last updated September 9, 2026

The short version: if you paid and never actually used the service, we will refund you. Once you have used it, we will not. Everything below is just that rule stated precisely.

You can look before you pay

Worth knowing first, because it makes most refund questions unnecessary. Adding a website and having it reviewed costs nothing, and once it is approved you can see the matches we found for it before paying anything. Payment is what lets you contact them.

So if a website turns out to have no matches worth reaching, you will know that before you are charged rather than after.

When a payment is refundable

A payment for a website is refundable while no connection request has been sent or received for that website. If you activated a site, looked at your matches, and decided it was not for you, that is a refund. Just ask.

There is no time limit on this. What ends the refund window is using the service, not the calendar.

When it is not

Once a connection request has gone in either direction for that website, its payment is final. That means either of these ends it:

  • You sent a connection request to another business.
  • Another business sent a connection request to you.

The second one catches people out, so here is the reasoning. What you are paying for is being contactable: paid websites can send requests and can receive them. Someone who paid, received three introductions, and then asked for their money back has had the thing they paid for. Counting only outbound requests would make that a repeatable trick, and the cost of it would land on everyone else’s pricing.

Because inbound requests count, the refund window can close without you doing anything. That is why we tell you before you pay rather than afterwards.

How to ask

Email support@locallinkmatch.com, or use the contact page, and say which website it is about. We will check whether any connection request exists for it, and if none does, refund the payment to the original card. Refunds usually appear within five to ten business days, depending on your bank.

You do not need to give a reason.

Pausing is not the same as a refund

Pausing a website stops it renewing. It does not refund what you have already paid, and it does not need to: a paused website keeps working until the end of the period you paid for. If you also want the current period refunded and no connection request has been sent or received, ask us and we will handle it.

Annual plans

The same rule applies. If no connection request has been sent or received for that website, the annual payment is refundable in full.

Things we will not refund

  • A period during which connection requests were sent or received.
  • An account we closed for breaching the terms of service.
  • A match you were not happy with. We match on location and service fit, and we cannot promise anyone will reply or agree to anything.

If we close your account for a reason that is not your fault, we refund the unused portion of your term. That is in the terms of service.

Disputes

If you think we got this wrong, tell us before disputing the charge with your bank. A chargeback costs us a fee whatever the outcome and takes weeks to resolve, and talking to us directly is faster than that for both of us. We would rather refund a borderline case than argue about it.

This policy is part of our terms of service, and LocalLinkMatch follows it as written.
