How your LocalLinkMatch account is organized

LocalLinkMatch separates your account into three practical levels:

  • Account
  • Client
  • Website

This structure lets a business owner manage one website simply while giving agencies a way to organize many clients and websites without exposing internal agency information during matching.

The three levels

LevelWhat it isExample
AccountThe LocalLinkMatch account controlled by an account owner.North Star Digital
ClientA business or internal group used to organize one or more websites and choose the connection contact email.Acme Roofing
WebsiteA specific website that is scanned, reviewed, activated, matched, and used to send or receive opportunities.acmeroofing.ca

If you are a solo business owner, you may only ever use one client record. LocalLinkMatch creates a default client arrangement when you add your first website, so you do not need to build a complicated agency structure before getting started.

Why clients matter

A client record does two important jobs:

  • It groups related websites together in your dashboard.
  • It stores the contact email used for connection requests for websites assigned to that client.

For example, an agency may manage three websites for Acme Roofing. Each website can have different categories, locations, and matching settings, but all can use the same client contact email.

When you change a website to a different client, LocalLinkMatch updates the website's connection email to use the new client's contact email. A website cannot be reassigned to a client whose contact email is still pending verification.

Your connection contact email

Your connection contact email can be different from the email you use to sign in.

This is useful if you want replies to go to the business contact rather than your agency inbox. It can also help an agency keep its own internal or agency email address private during early contact.

However, LocalLinkMatch needs confidence that the email address can receive messages. If you add a new contact email that is not already confirmed on your account, you may need to verify it before the client's websites can send or receive connection requests.

What another user can see

Your internal account and client organization are not the same thing as your outward-facing website identity.

When you contact another party through LocalLinkMatch, the contact process uses the website and its approved contact details. Your website URL is included with a connection request so the recipient knows which website is proposing the connection. The sender contact email is also used so that the recipient can reply directly. A Google Business Profile link is optional and is only included when you choose to share it.

Managing more than one client

Use a separate client when:

  • You manage unrelated businesses.
  • Different businesses need different connection contact emails.
  • You want cleaner reporting and website organization.
  • You need to keep client website groups distinct within your dashboard.

You do not need a new client merely because one business has multiple websites. Use one client for related websites when the same business/contact relationship makes sense.

Account owner and team members

The account owner has full control of the account, including billing and team management.

Team members can help manage clients and websites, but they do not have the same control as the account owner. In the current product, only the account owner can make billing changes, and a team member can only delete a website that has never been approved — deleting an approved website is limited to the account owner.

Example

An agency called North Star Digital has two clients:

ClientWebsitesConnection email
Acme Roofingacmeroofing.ca, acmeroofingtoronto.capartnerships@acmeroofing.ca
Greenview Dentalgreenviewdental.camarketing@greenviewdental.ca

North Star Digital uses LocalLinkMatch to organize the work, but the other party interacts with the relevant website and contact information — not the agency's internal client structure.
